ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival Heraklio

Upon arrival at Heraklion Airport-Crete meet with our representative and transfer to your hotel. After you settle at the hotel, you will meet our assistant in order to start your exploration of Cretan night. He will drive you to a local place, where while you are entertained with the sounds of the bouzouki and lyra, you will be served with an original Cretan dinner with unlimited house wine. The venue is in a beautiful village called Pano Karouzanos nestled in the mountains high above Hersonissos. Guests will be treated to a performance of traditional Greek dances accompanied by live music. You will also be invited to join in and have a chance to learn a few steps of traditional dances, turn yourself into a Zorbas for a night and keep this wonderful night in your memory forever.Dinner is buffet style and consists of many mouth-watering Greek dishes that must be tried.

Day 2: Knossos day tour

Breakfast at the hotel.Meet your driver at the hotel and begin your full day trip to explore Heraklio city center and Knossos. Visit the most famous and popular of all the attractions in Crete, the Palace of Knossos. Enjoy a guided tour of the historical site that covers an area of 22.000m2 on 5 floors with 1.300 rooms, hear all about the legendary labyrinth and the Minotaur (the half-human monster). This day brings history and legend back to life and is a must see on any visit to Crete. After our visit to Knossos, our first stop on the scenic route towards central Crete is the Monastery of “Kera Kardiotissa”. It is dedicated to Virgin Mary; it is run by nuns and is locally known as Little Lourdes, with people making pilgrimages to pray for relief from their sins. During the afternoon, we will head back to Heraklio. Rest of the day free. Overnight in Heraklio.

Day 3: Heraklio - departure

Breakfast in your hotel.Check out and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
