ITINERARY

Day 1: Athens arrival

Upon arrival at Athens International Airport meet with our representative and transfer to your hotel

Balance of the day at leisure and overnight in Athens

 

Day 2: Athens- Olympia 

Breakfast in the hotel

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel or near by spot and join a 4 days tour to Argolis, Olympia, Delphi and Kalambaka. You will leave by the Coastal Road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidaurus famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nafplio (short stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon.

After the end of the tour in Mycenae you will depart to  Olympia the Cradle of the Olympic Games

Dinner and overnight in Olympia


Day 3: Olympia- Delphi

Breakfast in the hotel

In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque Towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi.

Day 4: Delphi- Kalambaka

Breakfast in the hotel

In the morning visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi
Then depart to Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks

Day 5: Kalambaka- Athens

Breakfast in the hotel

 In the morning you will visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in midair, stand ageless the Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine Art

After the end of your tour depart to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (photo stop at Leonidas monument).

Arrive in Athens early in the evening. Overnight in Athens

 

Day 6: Athens - city tour with Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum

 Breakfast in your hotel

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel or near by spot and join a half-day guided tour of Athens, including a bus tour at the Panathenaic Stadium, the Presidential residence, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). Then you will proceed with a guided visit of the Acropolis and finally the New Acropolis Museum

After the end of the tour transfer back to your hotel for a free afternoon

Overnight in Athens

 

Day 7: departure

Breakfast in your hotel

Check out and transfer to the airport for your departure flight
